Lunar Lion to attend NASA LADEE Launch

Tags: , ,

NASA has selected 50 representatives from around the world to view the launch of their Lunar Atmosphere Dust Environment Explorer from Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia this Friday, September 6th at 11:27pm, and the Penn State Lunar Lion Team is one of the 50 selected. A member of the team will travel to Wallops Island on Wednesday to see guest speakers and participate in a tour of the flight facility until they are bussed out to the launch site on Friday night. Given that the flight is not delayed, and that the wireless infrastructure is adequate, we will host a Google+ Hangout from the launch site so that you will be able to watch the launch live.

RSVP to the Google+ Hangout here:

See you then!

Here is a short video about NASA’s LADEE and its mission goals:

  1. An impressive share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a colleague who has been doing a little research on
this. And he actually ordered me dinner simply because I discovered it for him…
lol. So allow me to reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!!
But yeah, thanks for spending time to discuss this issue here on your web page.
